1/60 RD Force Impulse WIP 10

oh my, 10th WIP post already >.> oh well, lets go on :D

obligatory light piping unit XD

alright, somewhat i didn't snap out stuff in its flow-to-flow progress, but i think showing it out should be enough since it is rather straightforward. so yea. anyway, did quite some mods, simple ones, and now i am near to complete it up :D

and have a front shot. hardly any part is scratch built, most of them are taken from the kit itself. chopped, butchered to fit in place :D

armor on shoulder is from upper part of the shield, and joints on shoulder binders are covered with cut pieces from the knife holders

skirt armor from shield parts and yea, dat crotch XD

backshot, made the back skirt. gonna thicken it up. also made the backpack now

skirt armor, rather basic this time. will detail it up futher

backpack, recombined the cut parts previously, lower fins from shield and some scratch built vents

as for the vents,

and finalized. and wow, such tedious work for a precise scratch build so that it will perfectly fit into the space in the backpack. but at least i pulled it through :D

rifle, kitbashed with few parts

and cut the shield to make a small shield which will also serves as the sword mount rack

the sword. scrapped the dual sword idea and went for single sword. got some pla plate parts here

and oh yeah, another beam saber for the shield also :D

and that's that. pretty much nailed the mods, and i shall be moving to cleaning up soon. on side note, the sword is rather heavy to pose with, and i also did broke few critical joints (in which magically fixed well :D) but yeah, gonna end up for a nice pose for it though

to sum it, rather a productive year. hardly any of those completed kits are straight repaints, there are mods at the slightest extents. and yeah, trying out new stuff is just fun, especially when i self-upgraded myself with an airbrush, giving myself one nice boost to the modelling

and to put it, my resources are now depleting ^^;;; pla plates, paints, primers and stuff. still haven't got the chance to restock them up >.>;;;;

that aside, what about my actual life? uhh, did one fine and nice screw up, and i don't really wanna talk on it. so let me just settle it up then :D

now, to talk on my secondary interest, namely on Touhou Project, also did quite some progressed on it. been meeting up with people of same interest, but funnily, i missed up every single anime/manga/game event held ^^;;; well, whatever, made friends XD

well, i don't know what to talk about now...have this pic then :D

winning something in GBWC gave me the chance to have my name featured in local hobby magazine :D (I'm HG 2nd place)

and that's all, to end up 2011. happy new year 2012, and lets us have a very good next year :D

HG Full Armor Strike Freedom Gundam

alright, one last gallery to end up 2011 :D

this is one flawful build, and I'm presenting it with the flaws, SLAPPED RIGHT ON

Zoidiect's Base presents, ZGMF-X20FA Full Armor Strike Freedom Gundam

ok, for this build, things had been crazy. very crazy. for those who follow, probably can easily make out that i had worked on this for like, 1 year XD anyway, within that time, concepts and designs change abruptly, and luckily i ended up with something i am satisfied for :D
to put it, i really want it to be one flawless build, but i rushed for GBWC 2011 Malaysia region, and not to forget, stuff getting depleted at the crucial time (thinner, putty and stuff). to be frank, i didn't expect much for this kit in the competition, in which surprised me when it won 2nd place for High Grade category. not bad for my first time joining it eh? :D

and oh yeah, mind some battle story? XD

so, to put it, this isn't the one Kira's using. the frame of this unit is the single and supposedly be mass produced Strike Freedom unit, in which got MSjacked by the Junk Guild. primarily jacked for it's nuclear module, since the JG is currently researching on a massive weapon, hence the need for the endless energy supply from the nuclear engine. while SF frame is already agile, engineers upgraded the frame for more agility. throughout the test, the unit gives out great performance even though it is handling one heavy weapon. however, it once caught in a fight, where it survived while suffering heavy damages. under the hands of Lowe, the unit is granted with Full Armor unit, and a pair of massive thrust booster units, allowing it to achieve unexplainable performance for a FA unit. after the finalization of the weapon, the unit is handed to Serpent Tails, where it may be more useful

Specifications

- "Destroy" Twin Mega Beam Launcher Rifle/ Destroy TMBLR (intentioned). the weapon in question. directly powered by the nuclear module, combined with massive performance of the FA SF itself, it is nicknamed as Colony Dis-Integrator

- Hyper Lacerta Beam Saber. Upgraded version of Super Lacerta, with greater output, resulting with blue beam output (go watch Unicorn eps 3 and you'll know why)

- Zeus Beam Field Generator. while the original generator creates shield, this one allows a field to be created in short response time, providing the defenses that the unit need. while the Full Armor is strong enough against standard beam, the field is crucial especially for a fully-charged attack from the Destroy TMBLR.

-Super Dragoon Units. 4 on binders, 2 on waist armors and 2 on backpack. all serve for different functions. the 4 on binders are Dragoon Requiem, functions as output amplifier for the Destroy TMBLR, increasing its firepower. the 2 on backpack are Dragoon Attacker for direct attack to opponents, while the other 2 is Dragoon Protector, serves to protect the unit from incoming attacks

enough talk, have some photos XD

gotta say i love hand painting the face, especially when it turned out good XD

dunno if can make it out or not, but the TMBLR has 3 different shades of gray :D

the thrusters are painted gold, and brushed with chrome silver to produce the burnt effect
don't mind the whitish look there, just superglue. hidden using the arm btw :D

middle section is purely pla plates, with some Koto MSG and thrusters

some little hidden details. nuclear engine and pistons :D

oh and btw, did i ever mentioned that it is cast-offable?

plain version of SF. frankly speaking, looks very odd.

half armored XD i love how the FA parts retained the sleek look, and not too bulky but still provided the require bulk :D

action poses. here's the hard part

as for posing, you may already knew on the articulation improvement that i did, but really, the further mods reduced it greatly.no more full bend for the knees, and also, the gun is way too heavy for single wield. but still, can achieve the poses that i want. and back-heaviness is just awesome, hence the stand and blutack over there.

simple base, the one i made for Jegan, but now handed to SF. did a pre-shading, but totally not visible after the enamel filter wash i did. and did one nice cut there

random serpent tail insignia appears

and yeap, somewhat it snaps in nicely with Koto action base.

and to end it, well, one satisfying build, yet flawful ^^;;; yet i still love it XD I'm happy enough with this so that i dunno what to type lol

i tried to make Zedas transformable, and i screw up. and had to redo everything. while i'm on that, lets get back to this one for now :D

i thin that Battlefield cover looks nice. so yea. im not playing the game tho XD

so, here, change of concept. i said earlier that i want to give this one hell of BFG. but since i had gave my FA SF a BFG, i think i give Impulse BFS. two of them :D

actually i don't know what to do with the 2 large wings, so i thought they'll make some nice swords :D also, i had chopped the shield :D

front shot. now having blutack to hold everything up :D

rear shot. for some unknown reasons, i think i have a thing for long skirts armors. they look very awesome, IMO

used the side shield pieces for back skirts

some red shield parts for back of shoulder

and shield white part, chopped for front shoulder. and the red part for front skirts :D

and also, the sword, using the large wing and beam saber handle as handle. I'm running out of pla plates, so finalizing the swords will take a while. meanwhile, slight mod to the rifle. removed the extra handle for a sleeker Infinite Justice-ish rifle :D

DOTM Mechtech Deluxe Class Bumblebee

my first Transformers figure, and it's from the Movie lineups. because i just like the movie concepts and designs :D

well, kinda a long path i took before i actually settled down with this one, actually

so, actually i didn't really fond of transformers, or to the exact, action figures and stuff. but since the releases of Transformers live action movie (or bayformers lulz) the designs, and concepts grew heavily on me. but that raises another problem. attaining accuracy in terms of transformation and robot mode. basically, hardly to get a TF figure that completely accurate to how it looks and transforms in the movie (the most accurate i think is Leader Class Optimus Prime, ROTF mold). basically, i actually browsed through countless reviews on different TF figures, and decided to end up with Deluxe Class Bumblebee from DOTM lineups. and somewhat, a good choice, since transformation is decent enough, and the robot proportion is well done. to put it, i now somewhat eyeing on DOTM Deluxe Soundwave (Merc SLR one) and also wanna get a Mr. Faceripper Optimus Prime, from the movie design. maybe the Leader Class Striker Optimus. but who knows.

to the figure, then :D

Alternate mode (Car)

Chevrolet Camaro Concept, with a bit of alteration in terms of overall look. the DOTM one comes with a spoiler and safety grills on the windows.

overall painting is pretty good, although i do get some paint scratched at some points >.>

doors are open-able, but the grills are attached to the hood. and also got the actual glass mirror for the robot mode

special feature, Stealth Force mode. Stealth Force is basically an in-between alt and robot mode which allows TF to access their robot mode weapons in alt mode. for this figure, it has sorta cannons which comes from the rear hood part.

underside of the car. robot in disguise indeed XD

Transformation

starting up with lifting the entire top section of the car

and fold it up. the rear goes above the middle, and the front goes underneath the middle

open up the door and the front tire part.

flip out the pseudo-windscreen (issit?)

with that, there will be enough clearance to bring out the arms. bring them out

bring out the front light part, and flip up the front bumper in which will form the chest piece

and with that, flip down the entire front section and tab it with the spine

split up the rear section, which is the legs

as for the feet, here's one neat gimmick. the automorph feature (read: linked movement :D)

pulling out the feet will bring the rear part of the car to the rear calf

and flip it further up to complete up the transformation of the leg

and lastly, tuck in the hood to the back

Robot Mode

all in all, a very nice proportion it has. and im not regretting getting this :D
the transformation is somewhat Zeta/Rezel/Delta+-ish, which is kinda fun :D

for articulations, head is on a ball joint and moves freely. shoulder piece can be raised further, allowing more articulations

elbow bend greatly, and also has rotation joints. fist is on hinge, and thumb is articulated

knee bends to 90', and totally hinge joints for the ankle and feet. hip is on ball and hinge joint combination, and can do full split. sorta HG OO-ish hip joint :D

another feature introduced in DOTM lineups is Mechtech weapons. they are some oversized weapons, with abilities to transform and change form to another weapon by a single click/flip etc.

Bee's Mechtech weapon, expanded form. for deluxe class, all figures cannot have their mechtech locked in expanded form (with exception to Deluxe StarScream) but for mine, the gears is somewhat broken, and it may be locked down in expanded form :D

enough talk, enjoy some poses XD

overall, one nice decent figure, but still this ain't the best Deluxe figure of Bumblebee. i think the ROTF HFTD Battle Blade Bumblebee is much a better figure with more paint applications, but this one is something nice to play with. and i pretty much like it :D

AG Zedas WIP 2

as usual, going on this bits by bits. somewhat i can say i'm not the type that can do stuff like heavy detailing and stuff, but i think i have my stuff in terms of concept =D

RAWR

so yea, somewhat getting distracted by anime and stuff. so do things like bits by bits everyday ^^;;;

plain area near the neck. threw in some pla strip into it

and finalized the arm

half GN-X, half Zedas. decided to use GN-X shoulder, and will add some stuff on it to redesign it a bit

use a cylinder from HG Strike Freedom to slot in the palm. when sawing off the palm, pretty much lost some bits of it, so rebuilt it using pla plates. ball joint taken from GN-X's palm

also extended and sharpened some pointy edges. done this by adding pla plates and sand it off. tedious, very tedious but somewhat fun :D

proportion check. gonna go with the original design of Zedas, slim legs

puttied the Zedas Sword. lazy to sand away tho ^^;;;;

redesigned the wings by making it bigger, and articulated. used koto MSG joint for the joints

wing, fully opened

wing, closed position.

FW Converge Char's Zaku II

A sudden trip to bookstore led to this sudden get

a review, my style :D oh and yeah, used a cam borrowed from a friend, and surprisingly great photos it gave out =D

ohh yeaaah~~

bundled as free gift in September 2011 Dengeki Hobby magazine, well, uhh, dunno, but somewhat feel like having some of these SDs (?) in my collection. so yea XD

the book. mainly touched on stuff regarding G-Origin and stuff

the box. well, more like the casing for the box as the actual box is like 1/4 from the casing

and there it is. the box. yea, the box

kinda nice looking. standard boxart for those freebies from dengeki, and not like those retail releases which has nicer box

side view. simple,yet nice

backshot of the box. contain somewhat information on the stuff, which i hardly understands ^^;;;

so now, lets unbox it :D

the figure is wrapped in plastic bag, in which had been carefully sectioned to those separable parts. and easy to open plastic bag too :D

commander fin and shield

machine gun and right fist. oversized right fist XD

the figure, and the "nendo" stand XD

assembly is fairly easy, and do note that the arms are removable as well. so does the helmet

here you have it, FW Converge red Zaku II, straight out of the box

back shot. and nendo stand providing stability in which.........

..........isn't actually necessary. can stand nicely by it's own

also comes with movable mono-eye feature, in which you can remove the head armor to reveal the mechanism. well, easier to just use a toothpick or something to move the eye, i say. somewhat, mine got the eye-ring to pop out each time it is turned. so yea

and it is a certain bonus to have such feature to a figure which does the best at standing still XD

JUST LOOK AT THOSE DETAILS (another reference for me XD speaking of which, that another reference isn't finished yet ^^;;;; )

and it sure looks a bit plain eh? so yea,. bring out the black enamel and zippo oil~

and here it is, lined. definitely looks better

ZD-Base is now officially taking up commission works. well, mainly that now I'm on a longer break, and i somewhat kinda lazy to buy new stuff for me myself (mainly due to those pending worklogs i have, well, can finish that up later) so i thought of taking commission works so that i can keep my gunpla gears rolling and also providing some services to others :D

for now on, just this simple notice on this announcement, and i'll make a proper write up on the Commission page, after i get myself home (tomorrow, yea)

as for this winning, i can say it is just one single forward pace in my modelling career :D

HG Strike Freedom- That Remaining 30%

ok, continuing back from where i left it before. do note, by this time, this is already completed, and available on display at Malaysia's GBWC 2011 until 23rd of November ^^

well, i'm pretty much done with my finals, and time to dig back those ideas i had during exam period XD

but, motivations also counts in >.>

ok, that big gun first. now to make it a real big gun

apparently, this one got 7 guns/rifles tacked on. Full Armor Strike Freedom Seven Shots? O.O

oh yea, cheapo skills. lazy to cut pla plate to form those frame design for skirts. i just masked them and paint :)

Dear FG Virtue..

Y UR PARTS SO NICE? lolololol so i cut off the particle tanks at Virtue's leg, and used it to extend the booster binders. actually thought of scratch building the extension, somewhat feel lazy to do SB

the Gun, finalized. took some parts from my scraps to remove the plainness in the looks

and to the part that actually give me headache

the base. me wanna simple one

this one is done when i worked on Jegan. tried to combine it with some metal frames from a hard disk, but never gets the shape. lastly, i cut it off, and it somewhat fit with my Koto MSG Stand. so yea~

the gun, primed. as for the 7 guns, 2 Strike Freedom's rifle, 2 Strike Freedom's railguns, 1 GN-X rifle, 1 Strike's rifle, and 1 DSSD Astray's rifle. yeap, 7 guns

added more plates and wings to the binders, to cover up hollowness and spicing up the shape

and I'm left with these 6 to be painted

base preshaded. when i put on the color layer, the preshade is still visible, but after i did enamel wash filtering, everything goes dull and shading were nowhere to be seen lol

and painting, decaling and topcoating

COMPLETED. COMPLETED. COMPLETED YAY \o/

pose imma gonna use during compy. mainly to hide some flaws actually.

and thus i travel again from my home to compy site

ORZ happened. nothing like some superglue to fix this up
(what happened is that the backpack comes off and falls to the floor.and the fins apparently want to come off too)

yea, my finals for Australian Matriculation (Read: hell, hell, hell, and hell) will commence tomorrow, 1st of November 2011 and end on 9th November 2011. Got 4 papers to go, English, Maths, Biology and Chemistry. The first and the last run at 11.30 am, while the rest run at 7.00 am. yea. 3 hours for each paper too.

Well, this is it, this is the time for me to make myself to my next level of education. Wish me luck.

oh and by the way

I'll leave you guys with these 2 pics. Awesome isn't it? At how we, fans/modelers/designers are bound to correct what Bandai/Sunrise did wrong? XD

RGM-96X Jesta- Concept Plan 2

those aren't Tron glow bands. those are NT-D glow, before the armors segregate and reveal the Psycho Frame. Yes, aside from the custom color, i will also implement NT-D into this beast. and yeap, all will be lighted up. by rough estimation, might need like 6 LEDs. this is going to be fun, stuffing all the wiring and stuff to a 1/144 kit, 6 LEDs somemore. and btw, the psycho frame are to be built using clear pla plates. got that coming right now.

i just marked any places possible for inserting psycho frame but i suppose all be different when i got the kit in hand.

not really a detailed WIP post unlike the rest of the post within SF tags, just showing the progress i managed to get to during my 2 weeks worth of break

shoulder getting readjustment, as the previous are proportion-killer. and here comes the FA part, courtesy of FG Virtue and HG GN-X

and something i did came up before the holiday, which i expect to help solve my backpack problem

yeap, Virtue's back cannons, combined with the backpack i SBed a while before

aaand, yeah, i chopped the SBed one

what about we throw some dragoons there?

in a way, pretty much almost finalize the mods. lets go on the parts in details

leg. armored, and extra lines added. armors are detachable, except for the rear thrusters. still haven't decide whether to keep it detachable or attach it permanently. interestingly, the armors are GN-X's leg armors, and the thruster is GN-X heel XD

torso section. forgot which shoulder adjustment is this, as it was like 4 or 5 adjustment i during during this break ALONE. anyway, arm armor from HG DSSD Astray's thigh armor. need a bit of cutting to allow undisturbed range of elbow motion

rear skirt armor. basically finalized long time ago, so yea

the thrusters of the backpack. i need a thruster to put in the middle part. although not really shown, but i further shortened the arm of the side thrusters (no more cannons yo)

murphy's law. hate it. the waist peg somewhat broke off during the work, revealing some flaws when i was filling the hollow joints baaaaaaaaaack when i was working on it, in the last 1 year.
yes people, this WIP, to an extent of 'awesomeness', has officially run for a complete 1 YEAR. and maybe my Impulse will have is 1 Year WIP celebration too, i guess
anyway, i forgot where did i get that new peg, i think it's either from parts that i cut off from Impulse, or parts from GN-X, or any of those in my scrapyard. anyway, inner core fix using 1.5 brass rod, and now still holding :)

and oh yeah, that masking tape on the torso. somewhat the mid-torso swivel i did before is kinda annoying, and it actually broke off (during shoulder adjustment i guess) and so, with the new backpack, i opted for solid unmovable torso, so added 2 plates inside, and fix some brass rod for core fix

and this is the final design for the backpack. regrets? should had put the dragoons on the thruster a bit lower......

and now, i somewhat skipped on flaw fixing, which indeed screw this kit up. will come to them later, and patch up any of those that i am capable on

painting ahead

cobalt blue for dragoons, with dark gray preshade. dunno if the preshade are obvious enough. at least i got off from the tedious work on the 8 dragoons

upper body. color tweaks here and there. and should have painted the arm armors into the colors of the shoulder. will highlight the sides of the arm armor later

and the MS is painted. you can see somewhat cracks near the waist. will patch it using pla plates, precolored ones.

and the rifle. supposedly can finalize and paint the rifle, but i wasted my last few days of holidays doing nothing

back view. randomly spam some MSG on backpack so that it wont be that plain. 4 of 8 dragoons mounted

now back to school. i'll get to this after my finals, before GBWC.
oh yeah, the proportion now is the best :)

Poseable Figure Izayoi Sakuya (Touhou Project) By Liquidstone. just a heads up, this is the recast version of the actual one, making it to be 3 times cheaper than the actual one. but things and quality are just the same :)

a bit on the character itself, Izayoi Sakuya, usually defined as Perfect and Elegant Maid, is the chief maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, who serves the Scarlet Devil, Remilia Scarlet. An ordinary human, with great skills with knife-throwing, and special ability of being capable to entirely stops the time. in my view, an awesome character, and pretty much badass with knives and all the stuff. so yeah. kinda wanna talk more, but will be best to do the research yourself :)

btw, as mentioned, this is a resin kit, and assembly is required. yeap, resin, and you should be aware on how the nubs and works will be. anyway, first resin kit, first figurine, and yeah, welcome to next grade of modeling :D

yeah, simple boxart, and the parts are nicely packed

inside the box....we have

107 resin parts totaled up, 3 pages of manual with missing pages (orz), 1 water slide decals for the eyes and expressions, 5 packs of joints, 1 metal rod for the mop, 1 rubber tube (dunno for what) and that's it. a note, this kit needs 2 packs of Wave's Option System Series PC-03 Plastic Support1 which is not included in this kit AND in the original kit. so yeah, find your own of that

now, resin kit eh, so....

this is to be expected. HUGE HUGE NUBS

sample of removed nubs. kinda a pain to clean the nubs, as you basically need every tools you need. i used nipper, knife, sandpaper, file, minisaw (yeap) and some more stuff. i did chipped a part off when removing the nub ^^;;;

nubs galore....

but in a way, cleaning resin nubs is somewhat fun and distracting, so yeah.

feet, complete assembly. 1 shoe piece, and 3 stocking pieces, along with a joint part. do note, throughout the assembly, pretty much every joint and polycaps need trimming, so be prepared

head test fit, with blank expression. for the braids, they suggest you to use a runner piece from the joint as the core support to joint the braid, ribbons and end piece of the braid. i think that it can be weak, so i went and drill 1mm hole and use metal rod as support, which is much more solid.

mop test fit. the "wool" is movable, yet still need more support work there

and so far, this is what i got. also assembled the lower torso

and i just went ahead and do more nub cleaning

Sakuya's pantsu. black and laced wwwwwwwwwwww

yeap. 16 knives. 16 knives of blue and red. eat your heart out Figma and Figutto Sakuya, especially Figma Sakuya. your pins have nothing to go against these

4 different faces included, with the smiling face having an extra piece. these face got their own mouth piece, but there's only 3 included, making it to have 1 extra face. i might recast the mouth piece for the extra

and these, arms and legs, will clean them during assembly, as the guide for left and right is marked on the nubs. so yeah

nubs, so far. nyaw

i think the video should be clear enough, pretty much almost accurate with how Bee actually transforms in the movie- arms from below of car, head comes out from front boot, legs from rear boots. and yeah, pretty much Zeta-ish transformation for the upper body and arms :3

in a way, the Mechtech weapon, supposedly you cannot lock them in expanded form for Deluxe class (with exception of Deluxe StarScream) but mine somehow can lock itself well. so yeah.

and, supposedly i post on LS Sakuya first, but somewhat the new blogger layout uses the new editor, in which i less prefer than classic editor. can't find a way to switch back to old editor, so i changed back to old layout. nyaaw

and this is how it looks now. just need to tack the Dragoons on the booster binders (read: Virtue's cannon). GN-X armors are awesome stuff to FA-ize this, and they blend in well. i also removed the mid-torso articulation as the backpack is very heavy, and replace them with brass rod pinning for strength. i'll have proper WIP writeup once im done with this

im now playing resin. and it's a poseable resin figure, something that can par with Figmas. yes, Liquidstone 11th Kadou Shoujo Izayoi Sakuya

another proportion check, to buy me time before i am to work on it for real. mocking it up with a PG frame, i can see that the shoulder joints need adjustments, and the arm may or may not need some more extensions. all left for those minor adjustments, and a bit more armor up- mainly for the arms and legs (THEM BARE LEGS)

backpack, yeah, now i will resort to a new plan, but will still retain the SBed backpack i did a while ago, only gonna redesign it. kit-bash ideas come along, and now i am having thoughts of using Virtue's back cannon as thrusters and Dragoon binders.

with me struggling for my final semester, i only have 2 weeks to do this. this is it, or never.

1/60 RD Force Impulse WIP 8

the thing bothering me with Impulse is the joints. i had basically glued all the seams, and being unaware on how to paint the joints. yeah, i thought of doing the painting, masking method, but apparently, the parts scratch and rub with the joint. so, had to do cut cut. and from my memory, i am used to not glue the pegs of joints. ah well, we'll see on it.

ok, this is where irony hits me hard. last stuff, yet this is the first completed work for 2011 ^^

now again, a wall of text before the picture.

basically, this is just OOB repaint, in which i repainted it in original colors, with some mods, namely on the GN Sword V so that it will be more anime-accurate. aside from that, this is the first kit that i painted using my airbrush, well, technically first kit i tested using airbrush, but i completed this one after ReZEL Plus ^^;;

as for colors, the blue is Mr hobby character blue + some white, the red is mr hobby red, and the yellow is Tamiya yellow spray can. as for the white, its mix of Tamiya white and mr hobby white, and the frame color is my gunmetal mix from mr hobby white, black and silver. i also painted the clear parts using mr hobby clear green. decals from MG Exia dry decals, and lined using tamiya enamel black

talking on the kit itself, uhh, this is a unique kit. not in positive term, but it is so hard to put it in a good stance. and plus, hard to pose too. the right arm is badly limited, and somewhat the proportion doesnt look right. i wont speak on Full Saber, as i am not to speak on it (lol) anyway, at least the mod i didnt made it looks much much better. and yeah, buster sword is goddamn heavy. as for now, enjoy the photos

HGUC Sinanju

now....how long had i got this delayed? ^^;;;

the hell i care on that, TAKE THIS! SINANJU KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK *cough* *cough*

ok, where am i?

anyway, this is my entry for my very own HGUC Sinanju Group Build- SINANJU KICK which run for..err.forgot how long already but you can check the full post from the side bar including entries from other participants as well. this kit itself, is a gift from Tsukinari, all thanks to him, in which a gift for me for doing his ReZEL or which i prefer to call as ReZEL Plus :D

anyway, yes, Sinanju, a monoeye. honestly, i am a Gundam guy, and i give no love to those monoeyes and their weird Weird WEIRD proportion and designs (read: Zaku, Gelgoog, Dom etc) but Sinanju is a catch. a Monoeye, with Gundam proportion. all that emblems and trims, that wing binders and stuff, why would i say no to this? well, i did say no to the MG one but HGUC? HELL YES

in a way, sweet proportion yet still needs improvements. basically, the waist section, thanks to the design of the skirt armors, made it to look bigger than the torso. so that need some fats over there, and that's what i did. 1.5mm for each side, so the torso's width is increased for 3 mm. i managed to resist from adding extra details like lining, plating etc as i planned to keep it simple and subtle as well as to experiment on another painting technique. aside from the torso mod, i do mod the knee, making the knee armor to separate like the MG Sinanju. other than standard procedure of preparing kit for seam line removal and easier painting, i also create gaps on the shoulder armor, creating armor separation by putting 2 0.5 mm pla plates to the underside of the shoulder armor.

now, this is what i focused more on this kit. painting. i used this kit as a test bed for trying some painting techniques which i will describe it as you read on. firstly, pre-shading. i tried to do some preshading, which turns out pretty decent. i did the standard black preshade on the fuel tanks, but on the overall armors, that's what i am putting the full focus.

basically, i am considering on the theory of transparencies of colors, given by the pigments and their vibrancy. what did on Sinanju is that i use red as preshade, and then put on yellow all over it, hoping to create sorta gradiation effect, simple said as making the armor to have the color of red, orange (red+ yellow) and yellow. results? uh well, i must say it does looks very nice in my eyes, but running out of paint when i was about to spray off few last pieces is kinda $%#!@^. good thing i still have some leftover from my Tamiya yellow spray.

another thing that i tried is to paint the underside of the armors, without masking any pieces. it is rather easy and fun, i just need to set the airbrush nozzle to the thinnest output, and spray while not to attack the part you didnt want to paint. same goes when painting the upperside. avoid pointing the underside :D

i also tried Gaia paints for the first time, mainly for the black, white and gray you see on Sinanju, and i must say, gaianotes are marvelous. the coverage is awesome, within a layer can make a very nice coloring, the finish is very smooth, and yeah, awesome.

color wise, armors is yellow and red as preshade. gray for vents and rifle, dark gray for the black part of Sinanju, black for the shield, gunmetal for frame and silver for them thrusters and stuff.

that's one hell of a wall of text over there, so now, enjoy the photos :D

HGUC Unicorn DM

a one night repaint/rework

(im running out of ideas on what to type lol)

now, yeah, i have to agree, urges and boredom are dangerous. i killed my Guaiz due to being bored, and this, yeah. the urge to paint. and since this kit is already assembled and modded, nothing much hard to rework on this. and yeah, to eliminate that ugly parting line on the thighs too. and seam-line wise, it's like non-existent in this kit, except for the beam magnum. yeah, this kit has a wonderful construction, so that the supposed seams looks like extra panel lines ^^

as for mods, nothing but extra mobility to the knee, by a series of mods that you can check out from the links to the WIPs at the end of the post

painting wise,
Frame and joint- gunmetal that i mixed. mixed from acrylic black and silvers, but it dries flat. gunmetal is best with finishes like gloss or semi-gloss, which i discover from my OOQ and Sinanju.

there are 3 types of different greys in this kit, all mixed from Gaia black and white. the white you see is a very light grey, and majority of armors are dark gray. while for feet and backpack, i used a lighter dark gray. first it didn't look that obvious, but it turns out great in the photos. and yeah, i haven't coat this kit yet. as for the psycho frame, i just applied my enamel clear red, but some appears like fogged, so i put on my red permanent marker over it.

i think i didn't give enough curing time, as when i put on red lining for the face vents, the paint come off when i clean it up, maybe i rubbed it too harsh. so yea. and yeah, sprayed chrome silver for the nozzle and scope, making it blings more than other rifle i painted XD and yes, no masking, just spray it directly but keeping a distance so that i dont paint the parts i dont want

as for choice of color, more like experimenting more with Gaia paints. my experiences during painting Sinanju was great, so i might made this as my main choice later (by that, i mean lacquer paints. brand can be assorted XD)

Hi-Nu Gundoom- WIP 2

i believe i made a misunderstanding before

anyway, enjoy some nice and clear shot of Hi-Nu, not your blurry 2MP phone

with the chance of good camera in hand, i thought of snapping some nice pics of Hi-Nu, taking that previous posts of it do no justice in showing all the details. so yeah

slightly primed, for surface check purpose

didn't really add much details, just some bits of tiny pla plates here and there

the lines/drain on the chest is somewhat too wide for me, so i might think lining it can look bad. so put in some tiny pla plates in it.

damn sexay legs

a bit more to break up the detail-less-city

and here too. somewhat, putting plates on panel lines, i just hoped that it wont disturb the painting much. i am planning on making this to have a plenty of colors, so plenty of masking is expected ^^;;;

and the bazooka's cartridge is plain too. so scribed panel lines, put pla plates, and trim them according to the lines.

and that must-paint-can-not-resist-blowing-airbrush syndrome drops by

rifle, bazooka, and Soul cleaver. painted. monochrome. currently still thinking on what color should i use on the actual Hi-Nu itself

close up on the details at the cartridge

and this dark grey + light grey is too monotonous to me.

add in a little hot-rod red in it. that should keep it low profile.

on the rifle too. now i know why modelers spent a lot of time painting these tiny details. the way on how the details stand out is just good~

and also painted the back of the scope and the lens in red too :D

okay, for the standard drill

SD Sinanju, another hell of trims from Bandai. nicely proportioned, but the joints could be better. lacks of elbow joint, and better to have some. rotating monoeye is a bliss, and transformation is WTF? color accuracy are great, and trims are much much smaller. clear parts are nice ^^

Mods-
-added elbow joint
-replaced shoulder and hip joint with square polycaps.
-added custom thrusters on backpack, as default thrusters are nothing but holes
-extended the front skirt to cover up the extension
-tilted ankle joint for wider spread

color- my first test bed for metallic finish
- metallic green= Tamiya semi-gloss black, mr hobby silver+ super silver+ shine Silver, mr hobby clear green
- gunmetal- tamiya black + silver
- trims - mixture of silver said above

shield trims are done like crap. no insane masking, just hand painting.

skirt extension aren't done well, its hard to sand it nicely at the spike part ^^;;;

as how you might see, i didnt took notice on the small details like vents and thrusters. too small XP

somehow, i am now doing more masking less painting. the silver on the rifle are painted without masking the rifle

also used the same lens i got from Hi-Nu Gundoom. and looks terribly nice XD

for the frame of the wing binders, firstly painted it silver, then sorta shade it with gunmetal

these are better than holes XD

Hi-Nu Gundoom- WIP 1

In ZD-Base, snapfit comes first before WIP XD

ok. it's fine if anyone wanna shout "U MAD" at me or what. the lack is just something i am not contemplating with..

first of all, the discussion on seam lines management

i've pointed out before regarding seam lines, due to their nature on having redundancy on being a seam on another seam (yo dawg...) and not to mention there are parts clamped in the seam as well. i had looked into some of them, and apparently nothing much is difficult. more like some standard usual procedure

1- bazooka

assembled bazooka. the gray/silver cartridge is clamping the white barrel, and white barrel is clamping the handle.

solution :-

make c-clamp for the handle, and the plastic is soo damn durable for this task :D and for the cartridge, cut off the small parts to make way for reinsertion. for the white barrel, the cartridge is clamping a T peg by default, so cut off the T into I peg.

2- Arms

default assembled arms. one note, only focusing for the blue part, as it is a bit hard to do for the elbow joint due to the design of the peg. so for the elbow joint, i'll opt for the paint-mask-deseam-paint method.

separation. the blue is clamping the white by some rod peg on the white, so cut that off to make way for reinsertion. on left arm, there are white plate that is clamped by the blue part, so i just trim off the peg. the vulcan on the right arm, i left it as it is as painting and masking it wont be any tedious :D

and for some other parts, Funnel Binders, seam removal can be done directly as no major parts is clamped by the construction. there is the white saber holder that is clamped by the blue part, but in manual it is colored blue so no fuss on painting. masking it wont be that hard also

Middle binder, while thrusters can be removed, but the vents that is clamped can be a bit hard. i havent look into this part properly, but i'd say it is either do some peg trimming or just masking

now, some pla plating. yeah, pla plating. been a while since i last did some pla plating details, even my previous builds are only using pla plates for fixes and stuff. while i did said this is a details overload kit, but there are still some plainness at some parts. so yeaa

chest and shoulders, some line scribing and pla plating. i also made 2 tiny fins for the chest

more pla plating. in a way, it can be hard to see where i did the platings, as i used 0.3mm pla plates, cut into tiny strips ^^;;;

and also, pla strip in panel lines :D Heathorn detailing style ^^

aaaaaaaaaaaand on the shield as well =D

i conducted seam lines removal on the blue armors of the arm, and noticed there are some obvious plainness on them. so need to spice up a bit ;)

right vulcan arm. the gate like plate. yeah. kinda tedious to get them cut right ^^;;;

left arm. Insignia A. A is for Amuro. and in a way, cutting 0.3mm plate into this, is both easy and hard at the same time. a sharp design knife works wonder

and the front part of the thigh is just bare, but im not in the mood of scribing some lines. so just some pla plating again

so, continuing a bit more on Hi-Nu Gundoom

a plenty of accessories, shown here minus the Soul Cleaver beam sword. i somewhat like and dislike a lot of accessories, as i prefer to display my kits with everything it has XD

now, something that people tends to complain on the build

THEM FUNNELS

all large parts have 3 nubs each, while those 12 tiny parts have 2 each. bring your own maths XD

COMPLETED. oh boy, these things are long

a bit longer than the full height of the MS itself

so, now he is FUNNELED. and this is wide

even wider. and very very very space consuming. while it is nice, i might not use it for my shelf display

with pegs available on both sides, it is nice to see it is capable of holding weapons in both hands.
in a way, with the effect parts, it is stressing the koto MSG stand im using

and one note, do shorten the side skirt peg a bit, by 1 or 2 mm. the default will cause a funny mobility restriction XD

i know this might be a bit late, but i must tell this by any means

the wing effects, by default, the holes punched for the attachment points to the funnels still have the punched plastic in.
do NOT discard the punched plastic. THEY ARE AURORA LENSES

these plastic are what i mean. due to its nature of being punched out, it forms a convex lens

example of use on Hi-Nu's beam rifle. need to trim some plastic off from the inner side of the scope so that it will fits in. and the effects is great :D

i just felt the urge

i just felt the urge to paint something....

yeaa.... in 4 hours, starting from 11.30 pm and stopped pushing my airbrush trigger at 4.30 am.
4 different colors, gunmetal, dark gray, less-dark gray, light gray (not white, but light gray). Psycho frame is hand painted with enamel clear red. beam Magnum still unpainted at this moment as i had yet to sand its seam

and it eventually gets painted

and apparently, i have something with silver nozzle. but one more thing to show here, is the different between my silvers mix and Mr. Chrome Silver. beam magnum's nozzle is painted using chrome silver, and polished. you can see the differences in the reflections :D

good kind of packaging, as it protects the parts better. this kind of packaging usually can be seen for special MGs or PGs. and at first i thought the box is heavy, but it is surprisingly light

best manual i've so far. full glossy paper, and thick too. Hobimax is like all glossy, but thinner.

foil stickers are pure crap. and smells bad too. not gonna use this, so expect some painting (read: overhaul painting)

and apparently my nozzles are in good condition :D

and i just can't resist.....

i am building, please wait warmly ^^

a lot to talk on this. first, plastic quality. the plastic is less compact than Bandai's, and that is somehow made me feel worried a bit on disassembling it later on, and not to forget some pegs are just damn long. and due to the plastic, cleaning nubs is less hassle, and end up being fun :D

Parts fitting, somewhat good, and i think my way of trimming nubs do helps the assembly, but only 3 parts have bad fitting. 2 side skirts and the v-fin. they will pops off over time.

and one more thing on the plastic, something isn't right with the surface. it's like problem with the mold itself. some parts have glossy surface, but some have rough. by saying rough, i mean it is somewhat textured. so, sanding is needed. yeah.

so that's what i think of Hi-Nu Gundoom. i have yet to clear up another 3 sets of runners, which is only for the funnels. i'll save that later XD

so, explanation for what i did to the waist

a look on the modded waist

a look on OOB waist, courtesy of my NG 1/100 Sword Impulse Gundam

now, a comparison

yellow line is arm at waist level
red line is end of fist level
green line is knee tip level

the mod gave a significant increase to the height, as you may see from the marked level
for OOB unmodded- the elbow joint is at the same level with the waist, and there is a short gap between the fist tip and knee tip

while on the modded waist, major differences can be seem :D

a quick comparison shot on the bare torso. the left on looks longer

the modded parts. the lower white part (grey on 1/60 due to surfacer) and the upper red part (black on 1/100)
for the red part, i put 3 pieces of 1mm pla plates into the cavity, giving an increase of 3mm. and yes, i removed all pegs and connectors that provide the OOB assembly

for the lower torso, i added 3mm on the upper part and 2 mm on the lower part. i also extended the waist peg by 2mm

while on the back, due to the shape on the upper part which is at a weird slanting angle, i had to use different material. firstly, extension with pla plate which DOES NOT include the blue highlighted part. that part, is extended using epoxy putty (i use Bondite Epoxy putty)

view from the side. actually i did use some putty as the pla plate doesnt cover up some gaps at the behind, so i used putty to fill it up

that's for the lower part, now the red part

for this part, i need to extend the lower part to cover a gap from the extension. using pla plate or putty directly can be tedious, so i firstly constructed a casing from pla plate. i used 0.3mm pla plate for this. and you can see the 3mm increase on the red part

a view on the side. the red line shows the side of the casing, from pla plate. with the casing built, it is a simple matter of putting putty in it, and sand it down. blue part is the epoxy putty, filling in the pla plate casing

now, what i mean with "good practice to work on resin kit eh? pinning using some brass rod i have ^^" is that the way on how i connect the two modded pieces. i mentioned earlier that i removed all connectors and pegs, so i firstly thought of gluing it together, but i wanted some ease in painting, so i use pinning method. brass pins/metal pins are used to create pegs to attach them together, but still need some gluing in final assembly. and that's some extra holes, yes, it took some giga-drilling to get it all right ^^;;;

sorta work like that, resin pinning.

and next, the base of core splendor.

for those screw holes, i use mini drill bit and pinvise. the exact construction is :-
-base plate using 1.2mm pla plate
-top part, the segmented with panel lines is 0.5mm pla plates, all cut to different sections
-screw holes using drills
-vents and grey round bolts using Koto MSG

the Kotobukiya MSG that i used for the base.

pin vise,can get some from MGS2U along with various sizes of drill bits

now, as a result from the mod

you can see that there is no more space to insert the nose of the core splendor. although this is a loss to Impulse transformation, but then, for what reason do i need that? LOL
i prefer nice proportion over transformation XD and for that remaining cavity, it will serve as battery slot for LED in the head

now, onto the actual WIP

testing on doing some armor cutting. since this is a Test type Impulse, so some cut off armors look pretty relevant IMO

finally glued the small wing/shoulder binder to the shoulder armor

and for the backpack

some sawing and plating, "some", yeaa, and i have RX-78 ish backpack!

test fit. better than the elongated original backpack. however, one side is uneven, so might use some epoxy putty to level it up. and i has yet to put on the thrusters, as well as add on some more stuff to the backpack =D

so, as you may notice it, the sabers are back to the backpack

so i put some missile pods into the arm armor. what do you think? (missile pods are extra parts from my Takara Tomy Blade Liger btw)

1/60 RD Force Impulse WIP 6

lets begin rumbling on delayed work logs ^^;;;

now, where's the Force pack? and yeah, wont be painting/completing this so soon, don't have enough paints to paint this beast currently XD

what you are seeing right is what i am about to do on Impulse (yes, those are just tacked on). in instance, i removed the core splendor system from this Impulse. Yes. REMOVED.

for the sake of better proportion, actually. Plus the core splendor isn't doing anything helping with the support by sitting in the chest cavity

Long side waist binder? check. ZZ-ish shoulder? CHECK! for sure i'm actually had this plan for a while. nice to see it goes along well :D

so i removed the Core splendor system. what am i gonna do with that puny aircraft?
ah yeah, still got the base from my Jegan project :D

something like this, add some crew and stuff, should be enough as a BMKWC entry XD

now, that puny thing aside, to the proportion. in the earlier method, i used the approach of extending the peg, which turned out to be the worst choice ever. the peg broke off way to easily, and create annoyance within the same line. i got pissed. so i sawed it off, the peg that is. supposedly pegs. put some pla plate. extended required part with pla plate and putty. same goes to the lower white part.

at first i want to glued them together, but i resorted to this.

and so, with that, i crushed the Force pack. haha, i win emo-boy.
joke aside, i have more stuff to tack on. firstly,

original side armor, to the arm. no more puny impractical combat knives, lets have beam saber gun in it =D

and by this time, the wing binder is officially the side waist armor

current overall look, in a pose. for some story, this Splendor-less Impulse is actually a test type Impulse. not for the Splendor system, but to test the possible packs, and also the MS used to test TannHauser launcher, prototype for Minerva's TannHauser (we got Lohengrin launcher, so yeah)
what happen is that, the base where this unit is available was attacked, but the attack was repelled by the defensive units of the base. in response to this attack, crews used parts from Impulse packs to improve performances of this unit, also enhancing it to be able to use TannHauser launcher in combat, despite they are prohibited to do so. second attack occured, and the unit is sorted out. while the modifications allowed this unit to fight well while using a heavy weapon, its battery pack failed it and it was destroyed after it ceased functioning after melee-ing a Strike Dagger.

so you read it, expect this kit to carry a BFG.

SD Sinanju WIP 2

hmm, how can i spend more time on this compared to the HGUC one?

Metallic finish. step by step. first is primer, then is black. gloss black is the best, i use semi gloss black. give it some silver

then, clear color. my case, clear green. add layers by layers to avoid paint accumulating at the edges

smooth surface is a must, and must be dust-free to get the best finishing. let it dry for at least one hour to avoid screwing up like what i did

and this skirt, extending it gave me the biggest headache to sand it. and it doesnt look all that perfect >.>

4.45 AM, done painting all meta-green parts. impatience occurs

idiocy. self pwnage. while i am supposed to be assembling them in the morning, i was left with single part to be rework. never touch/hold a part before it is fully dry or wastage of time, paints etc shall occur..

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand completed.

BLING BLING

trims are through reverse enamel wash, a bit hard due to the size. good thing the chest emblem is a separate piece for the useless transformation XD and for the shield, handpainted it and it looks like a crap ^^;;;

some mods, like replacing joints at some parts. and it is taller than SD UC

Time : 9.30 PM - 1.30 AM

as this is a night fishing, and also on a bridge, so there aren't anything interesting to look on in the pitch dark. so lets go on with the catches.

first catch-

yeaa...laugh and you'll be the bait >D

second catch-

Arius Felis/sea catfish/saltwater catfish. and yes, this is a saltwater river, so don't expect anything like snakehead fish or arapaima in it. but a shark could be possible :D and this is just a fry, about 15 cm in length. it gave quite a tug at first, but got tired pretty fast

what the...what? cows having some gulps XD

third and last catch. yes, only 3, not as "productive" as PTF 1

HGUC Sinanju WIP

starting point- Late morning of 14 May 2011

snap-fitted. among all monoeyes, this is one that i like. well proportioned, great stance (it's Katoki's design, nuff said). i dont really like monoeyes mainly because of their nonsense proportions, except Bawoo, as i found the proportion looks kinda nice.

badass. very badass. very very badass.

MOD TIME~!! (sinanju goes charisma break?)

checkpoint- 1 whole night, no sleep doing the mod,and continue a bit more on next morning. feel asleep few times during sanding, taking that i dont sleep at all ^^;;

after modding. just some pre-painting mod for seamline removal, proportion fix and sharpening

didnt use the spike sharpener, just random sanding. and it IS tedious to get all 6 sharp..

proportion mod. the only lack in sweetly-proportioned Sinanju is that the chest is small, compared to the waist (wide ass lol) so, 3 layer of 0.5 mm pla plates goes to each side of the chest. the hard part, the side of the chest isnt flat. IT IS CURVED!!! if it is flat, i would directly use my 1.0 mm pla plate. given the curved side, i had to glue pla plate at a side, clamp 2 edges, wait it dry strong enough, glue and clamp the other edges. tedious...

extended the neck by 1.5 mm. the neck design actually limits it from looking down, but at least the extended neck made it look better. and yes, modded the knee so that it will separate when leg bends. just saw it off and glue it on knee joint :D

primed and painted. instead of priming the whole assembled kit, i primed it parts by parts. and time to test some new stuff ^^

painted yellow. with red preshade to get sorta reddish yellow.

example of yellow over red-preshade on wing binders. dang, ran out of yellow paint, goes for my leftover tamiya yellow spray, which also dries up at crucial time. some parts, you may see half-assed painted yellow ^^;;;

dat huge shield. somehow the effects didnt show up nicely in photos

and yeah, i think i never show my Airbrush set yet

simple set up :) and i use student airbrush/ bottom cup single action airbrush. it's a good one, easy to clean up, and i can do some simple shading with it ^^

white parts, primed and preshaded with black.

a lot of parts. a LOT OF THEEEEEEEEEEM!!! and this is just them yellow parts. there are some more heaps of gunmetal frame, silver, white, and gray parts.

best part of Sinanju? them thrusters

yeap. it had THAT much of thrusters. wait..

THERE'S MORE~!!!! XD and this is actually minus the 4 thrusters that goes to the wings

them thrusters must be in silver. shiny silver. mr hobby silver + shine silver + super silver. kinda lazy to finish them with Mr chrome silver so that i can get mirror shiny silver XD

them trims? i want them in white.

4 different options
- use provided foil stickers
- hand painting
-paint emblem and enamel wash for black part

i opted for the last options. Masking. the hell of this is that i had to estimate the size of the tap to the most accurate. other trims, i chose option 3 tho XD

what made me gwent for this crazy hell method is that, i mixed some Gaia white and black, having some gray which i painted the vents using this. got some leftover, which i used on the rifle, axes, chest and some more parts. and the color, Gaia color is AWESOME. it dries up to a smooooth surface, the coverage of color is damn good, it's like you dont really need to paint 2 layers to get nice coverage. and paint consumption is lesser than mr hobby's

unmasked, before i touch up using enamel wash

the shield, same way, but inversely

painted white, masked the trims (and half assly masked the emblem) and paint black

unmasked. you may noticed a line due to masking border >_<

re building in progress, preparing for decals and last coat

fully assembled. and that's one hell of a stance.

the rest of the part. yes, i like the axe that way.

a look on them hellish trims XD

decaled, topcoated. due to yellow color, i dont put on much decals, as i had mostly white markings from Frame Astrays Decal sheet, maybe need to get an universal one. MG Exia's dry decals, that thing is damn good for a ReZEL, good for Katoki-ing a HGUC ReZEL :D

with rifle and shield. bad ass. bad ass stance ^^

build trivia-

no foils stickers are harmed throughout the build

a plenty of cotton buds are harmed

overall look on paints used. yellow and red is depleted, and my Silvers are running low, with Silver completely used up. Gaia colors are awesome, and im looking forward on trying more of that. and im missing my enamel black in this family photoshoot

and that wraps up my Sinanju build, a delayed build for my own Sinanju GB. end point check at late evening of 17 May 2011. new record? or my ReZEL build used lesser time? dunno lol

the first time i saw it, i can pretty much say that it is very original. this one works perfectly as a homage to the actual Sinanju kick, given by the pose, showing the impact =D

-Tsukinari Sinanju HEAVY Kick
seriously, this is SOME.HEAVY.KICK. or should we call it Stomach-Blasting-Kick? ~~or was it bear-blasting?~~ the heaviness is well portrayed, given Blade looking less M-ish compared to the previous Kick from Tsukinari =D

-Evaritus's Sinanju Front Kick
how should i put it? another homage to actual Full Frontal Sinanju kick and this one surely looks as Sinanju is going full frontal XD (kinda seeing a ragequit kick here, dunno why )

and this blog is 2 years old. and i had no idea what to say in this post ^^;;;

aaaaaaaaaand more importantly, Sinanju GB is now officially ends, with Zeon_Two_Six delivers his kick within the last seconds XD sort of

I'll bring up the Kick post soon, and we shall move one with the judging.

blog is 2 years old, my modelling skills is like 1 1/2 years worth, and blog stats from May last year give me around 29,865 viewers, which i think the number is greater if the stats started from April 2009.

more stuff to come, including HGUC Sinanju, MC Model Hi-Nu, as well as finishing up some of my work logs. i might buy something to reward myself for completing IELTS test (yes, i love to reward myself, that's why i keep buying new kits whenever i completed one ^^;;;)

and now, a very great thanks to all viewers, readers, lurkers, blogrollers or aliens, who had gave support to put this blogs on a steady life.

A Little Scratch-Building

ever since i completed by Trailblazer diorama, yeah, i think i can't keep on not doing anything XD
anyway, this is a little scratch building, mainly to save more time to complete one of my pending work-logs

care to guess what will these blocks form into?

in a way, this is just for practicing scratch building, where instead of just randomly cut and paste pla plates, i go for accuracy and precision, yes, measured up everything and make better alignments.

and oh yeah, it's been a while since i last did something like this. sandwiching polycaps with pla plates for making joints ^^

now, gathering up some stuff that i had SB-ed

OK, i bet you know what is this now. a backpack. for? my Strike Freedom, or i prefer to call as Full Armor Strike Freedom. my previous works with the backpack, after breaking the peg for the wings, are just nothing but ugly works of misalignment and messiness. so i decided to scratch build the entire backpack, and propose a new Dragoon configurations, this time will completely allocate all 8 Dragoons.

should be looking like this. dunno if i might change the configuration a bit later

now, to mount that side blocks, again, recycling some parts from other gunplas.

Jinx's beam saber's hilt. cut them half

with another pla plate to provide support, they are glued on. not using cement, but superglue for speed work. the only bad thing is that alignment becomes harder to be correct and if redoing it quite some time might cause superglue to build up, causing more mis-alignment >_>

test fit, second time. for the lower fins, might add some more volume to them. and how this will go to SF? simple. i will cut the peg from original backpack and glue it on this one. will use original thruster as well

major parts separation. there are still a bit of misalignment, but it is more minimized compared to my previous scratch build attempts. in a way, since i dont have SF with me right now, i got the feeling that this backpack is more wider. hopefully by using all of these styrene will not cause much weight issues later on ^^;;

btw, still dont have time to snap photos for TTB. i had to do presentation for it next week, so i might dont have time to pull up the gallery next week too. but i will put it up, anyway.

and oh yes, demo version of Touhou 13- Ten Desires is out, and what do you think of it? i can say, ZUN's art improved a LOT, and i actually like chinese zombie Miyako Yoshika already ^^;; (speak of necrophiliac XD) haha, incoming zombie moe XD
